New Bella SPRING 2023 - Garda, Bungalow and Forged

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for - new Bella! Travel through time and locales with us today, from the stunning landscapes of Italian lakes to the swinging mid-century and Industrial Revolution eras. We invite you to meet Garda, Bungalow and Forged.

GARDA

There is little that is as inspirational as travel, so it makes perfect sense that our first new collection of 2023 is inspired by our Italian sourcing adventures with GARDA. Garda pays homage to the unique location of Lake Garda in Northern Italy, where the alpine mountains meet the Mediterranean.

Here, crystal clear waters meet stunning vistas and are dotted by charming old towns and plenty of sightseeing, making it a popular travel destination. George Clooney may have the lock on Lake Como, but we personally love Lake Garda for its connection to the water, making it the perfect spot for outdoor aquarian adventures, whether that’s paragliding, sailing or just plain lounging on the beach.

Its beauty is such that the magic of Lake Garda has been known to move more than one poet, including Tennyson who said “there to me through all the groves of olive in the summer glow…beneath the Roman ruin where the purple flowers grow.”

Two different looks pay tribute to the landscape of the region with a botanical-inspired Mountain Pine and an Ornate Ripple mimicking the lake waters. These two profiles embrace a bold 2” face and a more subtle 1 1/16” cap that includes some extra depth. The finishes are a naturalist’s dream ranging from Morning Mist and Lilac Sky to Gilded Sun and Serene Cerulean, for a total of 12 different options.

Vintage-inspired is the name of the game here with Garda as the perfect pairing for oil portraits and dreamy botanicals.

BUNGALOW

Traveling away from the romantic Italian landscapes, our next new introduction harkens back to the swinging mid-century era. BUNGALOW has a decidedly modern vibe and derives its inspiration from 1960s and 1970s bungalow architecture, furniture and decor.

Known for clean lines and a love of natural materials, mid-century architecture is an American classic that really started gaining in popularity after World War II. It is characterized by large, open spaces, geometric shapes and an emphasis on bringing the outdoors in. Though minimal decoration is a hallmark of mid-century design, thanks to its drawing on Bauhaus influences, pops of color in an otherwise neutral environment were very on-trend for the time, and continues into today.

One thing we love so much about the Bungalow line are the two very different designs available within it. The 1 1/2” Diamond Block face is a tribute to the lines and angles of mid-century architecture and comes in Ebony Black, Buffalo Brown and Eggshell White. It’s, of course, a no-brainer moment to use it to frame up a set of vintage architectural elevations.

In a slimmer, angled profile with a  ¾” face, choose from ten finishes ranging from Walnut Lip on Buff Beige and Oak Lip on Sesame Grey in the more neutral palette to Walnut Lip on Indigo Blue or Oak Lip on Golden Mustard for the bolder. Both look amazing as complements to modern, graphic prints delivering a multi-layered look.

FORGED

We’re forging ahead (get it?) with our final new introduction of this season with FORGED - an industrial-driven design with that metal meets wood vibe so often seen in industrial furnishings and decor.

What else is a hallmark of industrial design, you ask? Being inspired by repurposed factories from the Industrial Revolution era, the look embraces iconic elements such as exposed pipes, brick, concrete and cool, neutral color palettes.

The Forged collection is available in three profiles -  1 15/16” scoop, 1” cap and a 11/16” angle. The industrial vibes are strong with steel-inspired finishes in Silver, Pewter, Golden and Blackened. All four finishes include wood complements ranging from Natural Oak and Ebony Walnut to Grey and Bronze Ash.

The framing options are robust using it on metallic prints in matching shades for a modern meets modern look, but we especially love it to frame up items and objects (bonus points if they are industrial-inspired themselves) such as vintage keys and a perfectly silvered horseshoe.
