New Bella SPRING 2024: Resina
Now that you’ve passed Bella history class with flying colors, let’s travel forward a few centuries to immerse ourselves into a modern trend that’s been picking up steam amongst artists and designers - epoxy and resin.
MEET RESINA
Resin is a broad term that refers to a variety of organic substances that are typically clear or translucent and can be either natural or synthetic. Whereas, epoxy is a type of thermosetting resin that is renowned for its adhesive properties, durability and resistance to damage. Hence why table top epoxy is such a popular form - it is poured onto a surface that then hardens into a smooth, glossy and especially durable finish.
If you’re a Tik-Toker you may have noticed resin and epoxy are having a bit of a moment in the design world. Part of this is because its unique aesthetics can be used in so many different styles of design - from contemporary and rustic to industrial-themed spaces. It can even be manipulated to mimic the appearance of concrete or enhance the natural character of wood.
Artists are loving it as well with many going full steam to create everything from clocks and trays to mirrors and wall installations. So, it’s only natural that this unique art form needs its own unique framing solution to celebrate its natural beauty.
Enter our Resina collection. Resina includes two different profiles that highlight an eye-catching angle with a 1 ½ inch face to a textured serrated scoop with a 2 ¼ inch face. As always, color is on full display in this collection with hues ranging from Endless Azure and Robust Ruby to Opaline Emerald and Burnt Ginger.
That mix of size, color and design means there’s not much you can’t work with Resina on. Its eye-grabbing texture makes it so fun to use on three-dimension items like glass mosaics and tiles, but you also can’t go wrong with any form of colorful prints or vintage posters - especially anything that has a pop-art vibe.
