Lori was selected as the winner of our Summer Bella Creations Contest. The design uses a cap from our Shimmy collection and Lori has put together a great marriage of art and frame.
Lori has been framing for 28 years and has built a reputation as the go-to place for fantastic wedding invitation framing. This particular wedding invitation belongs to her nephew and his lovely bride which Lori framed as a shower gift. She chose to incorporate design elements from the invitation, like the seal from the envelope and the envelope lining as the float. The postage stamps represent all the states where they have lived. For a frame, the bride's request was something metallic but not traditional or stuffy.
Lori and her niece-in-law both thought the Shimmy cap was perfect. The champagne and metallic finish feels bridal and formal but the texture and cap profile makes it more playful and contemporary.
Our Shimmy collection consists of 11 colors in a flat profile plus the six best selling colors in a taller cap. Shimmy’s vintage inspired colors pair beautifully with the dreamy quality of contemporary photography and the texture looks great with all manner of prints and textiles. Made in Italy, Shimmy is an aluminum metal leaf finish with multiple layers of hand-applied patinas. We hope it gets you dancing!
