Fall Creations Winner!

CONGRATULATIONS to GINGER HOPKINS

Ginger's playful Prisma was selected as the winner of our Fall Bella Creations Contest. The Facebook voters and our panel of industry experts were all "dotty" for Ginger's design. 

Attracted by the bright color and whimsy, Ginger has been building a collection of this artist's work. This screenprint is the sixth one she has framed. The very saturated and contrasting colors led her to the Prisma line, in addition to the her love of all things polka-dot. 

 Why Prisma? Ginger says, “What other frame can you come up with that offers the level of customization, color and whimsy?” Using only the sample color chips to design with, Ginger knew she wanted to go with 2 shades of blue but the accent color was a bit of a concern.  Ginger worried the red border on the art and the yellow in the frame design might clash – but felt the contrast of blue and yellow worked so well that she moved forward - and it all came out perfectly. We particularly love the blue dots as they relate to the figure's arms and how the yellow lip highlights the circular motion of the yellow birds in frantic flight.

In the end, Ginger was thrilled with this custom frame that has a personality all it's own and complements the art without detracting.  "Prisma is my go to when someone says they want something different, colorful, and fun" says Ginger.  She usually shows Prisma with art that has an animal or graphic print, on figurative or modern pieces - and for custom mirrors!
